Brazos Bend Texas State Park
March 5, 2004 Forty Acre Lake Trail
Things looked off to a slow start with the constant drizzle and the gate not opening until eight. The TP&W website said seven am on Fri. - Sunday. Well the Ranger Station opens at seven only they don't
open the gate until almost eight. At least I had a few visitors as I waited in the parking lot. I was parked next to the sign not in the handicapped place.
The rain drops on the flora is natural no need for a spray bottle here today. It looks like a promising spring wildflower season in Texas this year.
The American alligators are out in numbers today. From young to old they seem to be everywhere along the trail.
Image with 300mm IS lens shot @ f22 for depth of field.
Took an opportunity to try out my Canon 17-40 f4 lens image full frame taken at 17mm.
See the Birds and more from the day's shoot on the Next
Page.
